TAMPA, April 11, 2015 – Catherine Blaney and Charvin Graham were responsible for four of USF's 13 wins on Saturday at the South Florida Triangular.
The Bulls' men's team won the meet with 76 points over FIU (66). The USF women placed second with 131.50 points behind UCF (162.50) and ahead of FIU (77).
Blaney (Belleview, Fla.) won the 1,500m race in a time of 4:33.66 and later won the 5,000m run in a time of 17:50.68. Graham (Homestead, Fla.) threw a personal best of 170-01 (51.84m) in the hammer throw and a personal best of 163-04 (48.06m) in the discus to move up to eighth on USF's all-time list.
Junior Anderson Charles (West Palm Beach, Fla.) placed his name among the top 10 all-time at USF with a time of 1:51.33 in the 800m run. That puts the West Palm Beach, Fla., native seventh all-time in school history.
Freshman Jennifer Slagus (Moscow, Pa.) recorded a personal best in the hammer throw with a second-place distance of 182-02 (55.53m). Entering the weekend, that mark is good for the second best in the American Athletic Conference. Freshman Zach Diaczynsky (Naples, Fla.) finished second with a personal best of 168-02 (51.27m) in the hammer throw which puts him sixth in USF's top 10 list.
USF swept the top three spots in the men's 200m, led by junior Dwight Davis (Hollywood, Fla.) with a time of 21.50. Junior Michael Babinec (Riverview, Fla.) won the men's 1,500m in a time of 4:03.89.
USF swept the top four spots in the women's pole vault. Senior Emily Clay (Normal, Ill.) won the event with a height of 12-6.25 (3.82m).
Competing at home for the first and only time this season, three-time NCAA All-American Matthew O'Neal jumped a distance of 52-8.75 (16.07m). The junior from Jackson, Miss. came very close to jumping over 55 feet as his plant foot went over the line by an inch for a scratch.
Many other Bulls improved upon their all-time top 10 performances. Junior Laticia Sims (Detroit) improved upon her personal best time in the 100m hurdles at 13.58. Senior Kelli Williams (Trinity, Fla.) ran a personal-best 800m time of 2:10.14 which ranks as the fourth-best in school history.
It was the final home meet for 18 seniors as the graduating class was honored with a ceremony in the afternoon. Head coach Warren Bye presented each senior with a framed picture of themselves in action.
The Bulls will be in action next week at the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va. on April 17 and 18.
Arnold Records PR in Heptathlon in Tennessee Complete Results
Senior Lindsay Arnold (Zephyrhills, Fla.) finished in third place with a personal record of 4,813 points in the heptathlon at the Tennessee Relays on Thursday and Friday. It was 16 points better than her previous best of 4,797 points set earlier this season. She remains fourth on USF's all-time top 10 list. Senior Rachael Klinger also competed in the heptathlon, but was held out of the final event (800m) after accumulating 4,238 points.

Led by ninth-year head coach Warren Bye, the USF track and field team has produced 20 All-Americans (seven men, 13 women) since 2000 and at least one All-American in six of the last seven years. USF is home to the 2018 NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary.
