Men's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

TAMPA, JAN. 17, 2018  The USF men's soccer team will have a busy spring as the Bulls will face four professional soccer clubs during their spring trainings. USF will play two teams from the MLS and two teams from USL in January and February.
 
The Bulls, coming off a 6-6-4 season, will test their returning players against the best in the sport. USF opens the spring slate Jan. 27 against the New York Red Bulls. The Bulls will face the MLS squad at 10:30 a.m. at the Oldsmar Sports Complex.
 
One week later, USF hosts the Chicago Fire. The Feb. 3 game is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Corbett Stadium and tickets will be available online or at the gate. The Fire open preseason training in Chicago on Jan. 23 and will train in Tampa after taking on the Bulls from Jan. 28-Feb. 8.
 
USF will play its third MLS team in three weeks when it welcomes home Marcus Epps and the Philadelphia Union. The Bulls will face the Union at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex on Feb. 7, time to be determined. Epps, a MLS second round draftee, is not the only Bulls' connection to the Union. Freshmen Josue Monge and Freddy Gil are Philadelphia Union Academy graduates.
 
USF wraps up its spring season on March 9 in its annual match against the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Time and location to be determined.
 
The Bulls concluded the 2017 regular season with a 6-6-4 overall record and finished fifth in the American Athletic Conference with a 3-2-2 mark.
