TAMPA, MARCH 14, 2018 – USF's Priyanshu Singh has been named American Athletic Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week following his first collegiate title victory.

Singh surged up the leaderboard in the final round of the USF Invitational and posted a one-shot victory Tuesday afternoon at Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club. The senior from Delhi, India finished at even par with rounds of 70-75-71 on the par-72, 7,004-yard course to lead the 66-player field.

24476Singh made his move late in the afternoon by collecting two of his four final-round birdies on his last four holes. Singh's birdie on his final hole (No. 2) made the difference in his one-shot victory over teammate Claudio Correa.

"I was just trying to make birdies and hopefully put myself in a situation where if someone happens to make a bogey, I'd win," Singh said. "… It feels great to win."

Shooting under par in two of three rounds of the USF Invitational helped Singh secure his first top-10 finish of the season. Singh's stellar tournament performance also helped the No. 20 Bulls post a wire-to-wire victory at the event. Learn more HERE.

Singh and the Bulls will shoot for their fifth tournament title victory of the season March 19-21 at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational in Palm City, Fla.
