No. 20 Bulls Wrap Up Regular Season in Impressive Fashion

WEST POINT, Miss., APRIL 17, 2018 – No. 20 USF men's golf finished the regular season in strong fashion by placing second in the 15-team field at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship on Tuesday.

24786USF (+4) finished behind only No. 10 LSU (-9) after head coach Steve Bradley's Bulls carded their top score of the tournament with a 3-under 285 in the final round. Claudio Correa, Cristian DiMarco and Kyle Flexsenhar capped off USF's impressive final-round performance with top-10 finishes.

Correa tied for fifth place at 2-under (72-69-73) at Old Waverly Golf Club (par 72, 7,000 yards). The senior from Santiago, Chile shot par or better on 46 holes in his team-leading fifth top-10 finish of the season.

DiMarco used a 3-under 69 to move up seven spots to seventh place in the 84-player field at even par. The senior from Longwood, Fla., is right behind Correa with four top-10 finishes this season.

Flexsenhar took a one-shot lead into the second round and finished in a tie for eighth place at 2-over. The sophomore from Lake Mary, Fla., jumped up 11 spots on the leaderboard in the final round by carding a 2-under 70.

  • USF led the field with a par-5 scoring average of 4.72 (-17). The Bulls finished second with 48 total birdies and a par-3 scoring average of 3.08 (+5).
  • Kyle Flexsenhar tied Claudio Correa for the team lead with 13 birdies apiece in the tournament.
  • Senior Priyanshu Singh (Delhi, India) led the lineup with 37 pars and shot par or better on 42 holes.
