TAMPA, Fla (March 14, 2025) – The Bulls head to Greensboro, Ga this weekend for the Linger Longer Invitational, hosted by Mercer University. Coming off an eighth-place finish at the Hayt Invitational, the Linger Longer will serve as a great opportunity for South Florida to gain some ground in the ranking as the AAC tournament quickly approaches. They currently sit at No. 35.
Sophomore
Wilhelm Ryding has been on top of his game this spring posting two top-15 finishes at the Thomas Sharkey and Hayt Invitational. At the Hayt Invitational, Ryding placed higher than both the No. 3 and No. 5 golfers in the country. With his consistent performance in the middle of Coach
Steve Bradley's lineup, the Bulls are well-positioned to defend their AAC title.
The Linger Longer Invitational serves as another opportunity for Bulls' standout
Jake Peacock to close in on a couple of all-time program records. Peacock is on the cusp of setting both the all-time career and single-season scoring averages in program history, records previously set by Albin Bergstrom.
Senior
Shubham Jaglan, the new South Florida men's golf record holder for most eagles (19), will look to extend his program record. Jaglan has three top-25 finishes this season and has been a mainstay at the top of the Bulls' lineup with his consistent play and leadership.
The 16-team field will consist of: Francis Marion, Georgia State, Georgia, Alabama (18), Mercer,
South Florida, Jacksonville, South Carolina (17), Louisiana Tech, Elon, Ohio State, Augusta, North Carolina-Charlotte, South Alabama, Wofford, Kennesaw State.
Coach
Steve Bradley's lineup for the Florida Gators Invitational consists of:
Jake Peacock,
Shubham Jaglan,
Cooper Smith,
Nino Palmquist,
Wilhelm Ryding and
Matthew Joseph.
Nino Palmquist will be competing as an individual.
