TAMPA, JULY 16, 2018 – USF head men's golf coach Steve Bradley is proud of the program's very own Joseph Winslow, who captured the first pro title of his career in impressive fashion on Sunday.

27203A USF student-athlete from 2013-15, Winslow carded a 7-under 65 in the final round of PGA TOUR China's Yantai Championship and rallied to a three-shot victory over Japan's Yuwa Kosaihira. Winslow collected nine birdies in the final round to finish at 19-under (66-69-69-65—269).

"I've never coached an individual with more patience and positive self-belief. Joseph is so mature, he's a planner and goal-setter," Bradley said. "He struggled at the end of his college career and in the beginning of his professional career, but his focus and belief never wavered.  He's a very hard worker and he's very deserving of this victory. I hope this is the start of something special for Joseph."

Focus and self-belief certainly helped the 25-year-old surge up the leaderboard on Sunday. After leading the first and second rounds, Winslow pulled back ahead in the final round by chipping in for a birdie on the par-3 16th hole. Winslow finished strong by carding his ninth birdie of the day on the 18th hole to extend his advantage.

27204Winning in China helped Winslow make significant progress in his mission of finishing the year in the top five to earn Web.com Tour status for next year.

"It's one step at a time, one tournament at a time, and there's a lot of work I still have to do," said Winslow in a PGA TOUR China release. "I'm excited with where my game's at and where it's been going. I'm going to enjoy this tonight, then I'm going to refocus and get back to work in Qingdao and go do it again."
