Rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals… a track sprinter and state 100-meter champion who originally signed to compete in track at Florida State in the 2016 early signing period…also had offers from Florida and Iowa for track and West Virginia, Michigan State, UCF, Western Kentucky, Western Michigan and several others for football…was ranked No. 1 in Florida and No. 3 in the nation at 100 meters for the class of 2017…has a 40-inch vertical and timed at 4.37 in the 40, both among the best in the 2017 football signing class nationally.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played football and ran track for his first three years of high school, before focusing solely on track in his fourth year…one of the top 100-meter runners in the state, winning county, district, regional and state championship titles…won the 100 meters in the 2017 FHSAA 3A State Championship meet and was second in 2016, 0.01 behind the winner...recorded a personal-best of 21.79 seconds in the 200 meters as a senior...finished fifth in the 100 meters in the state championship meet in 2015…posted times of 6.43 in the 55 meters, 10.3 in the 100 and 21.79 in the 200…finished third in the 100 meters at the Brooks PR Invitational in Seattle, a national meet…played at running back and cornerback in high school…earned the highest rating (121.5) at the 2016 Nike+ Football Rating Day.
