TAMPA, JAN. 15, 2018 – Take a look ahead at the week in USF Athletics and catch up on last week's action:
No. 21 Football (10-2)
This Week: Quinton Flowers, D'Ernest Johnson, Deatrick Nichols and Deadrin Senat are set to play in the
93rd East-West Shrine Game on Saturday at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. (TV: NFL Network)… Also on Saturday, Devin Abraham, Bruce Hector and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be playing in
the 2018 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif. Catch the game at 4 p.m. (EST) on FS1.
Last Week: USF checked in at No. 21 in the final AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll rankings of the season, extending its
school record run of poll appearances to 20 straights weeks, which stands as the longest active streak in the state of Florida… USF welcomed six new Bulls from its 24-man early signing class to campus on Jan. 8 as the spring semester got underway. Learn more

No. 25 Women's Basketball (14-4, 4-1)
This Week: USF travels to Tennessee to take on Memphis on Wednesday at 8 p.m. (TV: ESPN3)… The Bulls finish up a two-game road trip 4 p.m. Sunday at Wichita State (TV: CBS Sports Network).
Last Week: USF took sole possession of second place in the conference standings with a
62-45 War on I-4 victory over UCF on Jan. 14… Four Bulls finished in double figures to help USF put up its highest scoring total ever against Temple in an
89-73 road victory on Jan. 10.
Need to Know: The Bulls are back at the Sun Dome on Sunday, Jan. 28 to host Temple. The game is set for a noon start and fans can reserve their seats at

Men's Basketball (7-11, 0-5)
This Week: USF heads to Greenville, N.C., for a rematch with East Carolina on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (TV: ESPN3)… The Bulls are back at the Sun Dome on Saturday to face UCF in a War on I-4 showdown that's set for 6 p.m. Reserve your seats at

Last Week: USF showed progress against its second straight top-25 foe,
leading No. 14/13 Cincinnati for most of the first half before falling, 78-55, at the Sun Dome on Jan. 13.

Athletics
Last Week: A total of 239 student-athletes earned USF Athletics Honor Roll recognition. Nearly 450 USF student-athletes also posted a combined term grade-point average of 3.02 during the fall, marking the sixth straight term in which USF Athletics has exceeded a 3.0 GPA and the seventh in the last eight terms. USF saw 13 of 17 programs post above a 3.0 team GPA during the recently completed fall semester. Learn more

This Week: USF continues its indoor season in Indiana at the

About USF Athletics
USF Athletics sponsors 19 varsity men's and women's teams that compete in 11 different sports, 18 at the NCAA Division I level in the American Athletic Conference. The Bulls' athletic program celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015, having begun with a men's soccer contest in 1965. Nearly 500 student-athletes train and compete in the athletic district located on the east end of the campus in Tampa, Fla. The Bulls have claimed 12 American Athletic Conference team titles since joining the conference in 2013, including four in 2016-17, and own 109 conference championships overall. Ten USF programs reached national post-season competition in the 2016-17 season and nine were ranked in the Top 25 nationally. The Bulls posted a program-record 86 percent Graduation Success Rate (2016) in the last reporting, logged an annual department grade-point average over a 3.0 for the second straight year and saw 106 student-athletes earn their degree during the 2016-17 academic period.
