TAMPA, MARCH 28, 2018 – The USF track and field team hits the road this weekend for two prestigious meets. The Bulls will send 21 student-athletes to the 91st annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. Additionally, five Bulls will make the short trip to Gainesville for the Florida Relays, hosted by the University of Florida.

The Texas Relays begin on Wednesday with the women's heptathlon. The Bulls will be represented in the heptathlon by freshman Kaitlyn Kirby.

The Florida Relays will begin on Thursday, but the Bulls will first compete on Friday. Yohance Haynes will kick off the meet for the Bulls, competing in the 800 meters at 2:40 p.m. Nicole Carroll (pole vault), Rania Samhouri (3,000-meter steeplechase) and Cash Tampa (1,500 meters) will round out the day for USF. Seth Musselman (pole vault) will be the lone Bull competing on day two of the event.

Both events will be streamed live via WatchESPN and are available on local television. The Texas Relays will be extensively covered on the Longhorn Network, while the Florida Relays can be found on SEC Network+.

Overall, 195 college teams will be represented in Austin at the Texas Relays, with 2,231 athletes competing over the event's five days.

In Gainesville, 100 universities will compete in the Florida Relays, including 11 nationally-ranked programs.

The two events mark the third and fourth meets of the outdoor regular season. The Bulls will compete in seven meets leading up to the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship, held from May 11-13 in Cincinnati.

Recapping the Bulls Invitational
USF hosted the Bulls Invitational at the USF Track and Field Stadium last weekend for the only home meet on the 2018 schedule. The hosts enjoyed a successful weekend on home turf, capturing five event victories and 29 total top-five performances during the two-day event.

Junior Bruce Robinson (Little Falls, N.Y.) gave the Bulls their first victory on Thursday, taking the men's hammer throw with a mark of 175-00.

Fellow junior Jonah Daniels (Jacksonville, Fla.) closed out day one with a win in the men's long jump, posting a mark of 24-7.00. The performance was a career best for Daniels and moved him into sixth place on the USF outdoor top 10.

Day two opened with an impressive performance from freshman Rania Samhouri (Tampa) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Samhouri captured her first collegiate victory with a time of 11:28.07, which is the ninth-best mark in USF outdoor history.

The women's 4x100 meter relay team of Shenica Bazile, Destiny Fairley, Krysten Golden and Jada Massie took home the second win on day two, running the relay in a time of 45.19, the fourth-best time in school history.

The final event win for the Bulls Invitational came in the men's shot put. Senior Zach Diaczynsky won the event in his final home meet as a Bull, posting a mark of 52-10.00.
