Men’s Tennis Signs Chase Ferguson
TAMPA, Fla. (April 11, 2018) – USF men's tennis signed incoming freshman Chase Ferguson to the 2018-2019 roster on Wednesday afternoon.
"We are very excited to welcome Chase Ferguson into the USF men's tennis family," said head coach
Ashley Fisher. "Chase is an exciting young tennis player with a huge future, and just as importantly is a quality young man with high character and principles."
Ferguson made the third round of the Australian Open Juniors in 2017. While playing a limited schedule, he reached No. 128 in the world junior rankings. He was ranked No. 1 in Australia in his age group as a junior. He currently resides in Melbourne, Australia.
"He has had wins over players ranked top 30 in the world in juniors and is going to have a huge impact on our program," said Fisher. "I believe this class will be the best recruiting class we have ever had."

Head coach Ashley Fisher will begin his second year at the helm of the program for the 2018 season after leading the Bulls to a conference championship and the NCAA tournament in his first year as head coach during the 2017 season. The USF men's tennis program has won four consecutive American Athletic Conference Championships and advanced to four straight NCAA tournaments.
