Bulls Fall in Conference Battle with Tulane, 6-1
NEW ORLEANS (APRIL 8, 2018) – A spectacular performance by Bulls senior
Peter Bertran (Santiago, Dominican Republic) highlighted USF's, 6-1, loss to No. 26 Tulane on Sunday afternoon.
In singles action, USF's Bertran showed off his skills, receiving a huge win by defeating Tulane's No. 87 ranked Ewan Moore in straight sets of, 6-4, 6-3.
USF's junior No. 77 ranked
Alberto Barroso-Campos (Montijo, Spain) came up short against his opponent on Sunday. Barroso-Campos battled Tulane's No. 11 ranked Constantin Schmitz at the premiere singles spot. Constantin won the match, 6-4, 6-3, to clinch the 6-1 win for the Green Wave.
In doubles, Bertran and
Jakub Wojcik (Delray Beach, Fla.) teamed up once again, bringing electric energy and tremendous teamwork as they battled Tulane's Tyler Schick and Hamish Stewart. The Bulls duo was engaged in a close set when the match was declared unfinished as Tulane clinched the doubles point by winning on courts No. 1 and No. 3.
