An All-American in each of his three seasons at USF, Ross Gload led the Bulls to three consecutive NCAA Regional appearances and three conference titles during his time with the program from 1995-97.

The 1997 Conference USA Player of the Year and 1995 Metro Conference Freshman of the Year still owns program records for home runs (54), runs batted in (241) and extra-base hits (113).

Gload led the Bulls to two conference regular season titles and one league tournament championship along with a pair of victories in both the 1996 and 1997 NCAA Regionals.
Selected to the 1996 NCAA All-East Regional Team, Gload also was a three-time all-conference selection and a two-time conference all-tournament team member.

On top of his program career records, Gload holds the top USF season marks for home runs (21, 1996) and extra-base hits (43, 1997). He also ranks second in the Bulls’ single-season history books in runs batted in (83, 1996), hits (99, 1997), doubles (25, 1997) and runs scored (85, 1997).

In 1997, Gload was selected in the 13th round of the MLB Draft by the Florida Marlins and in 2005 with the Chicago White Sox, he became just the second Bull to earn a World Series ring. Gload played 10 seasons with six different teams in the majors, totaling 34 homers, 222 RBI, 470 hits and a .281 career batting average.

Glad was inducted into the USF Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010, becoming the first member of the baseball team to earn the honor.
