A three-time All-America selection, earning second-team honors in 2012 and third-team selection in 2013 and 2014, Nevins was a dominant pitcher and is the second student-athlete from the softball program to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining Monica Triner (Class of 2011).

Nevins was a four-time all-region selection and four-time all-conference pick, earning first-team honors twice in the BIG EAST and once in The American, Nevins earned conference pitcher of the year honors twice (AAC, 2014; BIG EAST, 2013) and was the Bulls’ ace in the circle during the team’s run to the 2012 College World Series, recording a program record 336 strikeouts that season. Nevins struck out 13 in 10.1 innings in Oklahoma City after helping the Bulls win the Super Regional at home, fanning 14 batters in 10.2 innings and allowing just one earned run in a pair of 2-1 victories over Hofstra on the final day.

A three-time team MVP, Nevins finished her career as the program’s all-time leader in victories (101), saves (20), innings pitched (844.1), strikeouts (1,103), strikeouts per seven innings (9.14), opponent batting average (.170), appearances (190) and tied for games started (109). She pitched two of the three perfect games recorded in program history and nine no-hitters (eight solo).

Following the historic 2012 season, Nevins was stellar in the postseason once again, not allowing a single run in 22.2 innings while going 3-0 and leading the Bulls to their first ever BIG EAST tournament title in 2013.

Aside from her USF career accomplishments, Nevins was a member of the USA Women’s National Team from 2013-15 and won two World Cup gold medals (2014 & 2015), a World Cup silver medal (2013), Pan American Games silver medal (2015) and ISF World Championships silver medal (2014).
