TAMPA, Fla. (March 8, 2006) ? The USF women's tennis team (7-3) defeated the Yale Bulldogs (3-3), 5-2, Wed. afternoon at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
No. 38 Courtney Vernon remained perfect on the season, raising her singles record to 9-0 with her win over Janet Kim, 6-2, 6-3, at the No. 2 position.
Also earning victory for the Bulls were No. 53 Neyssa Etienne, No. 69 Liz Cruz, and freshman Iciri Rai.
No. 12 Gabriela Duch and Etienne earned one of two doubles victories on the day, defeating Christine Alford and Aimee Kim, 8-0.
The Bulls will travel to San Diego, Calif. to participate in the USD Invitational. Results will be available on www.gousfbulls.com
