
TAMPA, Fla. -- USF sophomore punter Delbert Alvarado was named BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Central Florida.
Alvarado made field goals of 33 and 34 yards and averaged 43.8 yards on six punts, pinning two inside the 15-yard line, in USF's 64-12 win against Central Florida.
He hit a long punt of 55 yards, marking his fifth straight game with a punt of at least 50 yards.
Alvardo is the fourth Bull to receive weekly accolades. Ben Moffitt, George Selvie and Nate Allen were all named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on one occasion this season.
Selvie was named to this week's honor roll after posting four tackles for loss and one sack agianst UCF.
Sophomore QB Matt Grothe was also an honor selection after comibing for 312 yards and four TD on Saturday.
