Selvie Earns AFCA First Team All-America Honor

TAMPA --
USF junior defensive end George Selvie was named a second team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

The award comes exactly one week after Selvie was named a first team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association.  The Pensacola native is first USF player to repeat as an All-American.

It is also the second consecutive season that Walter Camp has recognized Selvie. In 2007, Selvie was a Walter Camp first teamer.

Selvie has racked up 12.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks this season. He missed the majority of three games with an ankle injury and faced constant double and triple teams.

He leads all current NCAA players with career 60 tackles for loss. He is among the top seven current players with 25.5 career sacks.

The Walter Camp First Team All-Americans will be announced during the College Football Award Show on ESPN tonight.
