Individual Notes

- Jessie Hester's second quarter reception increased his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 21 games. The reception gave him sole possession of the USF record. He was previously tied at 20 with Amarri Jackson and Hugh Smith.
- When Matt Grothe ran for a 6-yard touchdown in the second quarter, he moved into second in career rushing touchdowns, trailing Andre Hall's 24.
- Five Bulls tied the USF career record for games played tonight ... Carlton Williams, Tyller Roberts, Marc Dile, Marcus Edwards and Cedric Hill played in their 50th career game ...  Also sharing the record is alum Stephen Nicholas, who played in 50 from 2002-06.
- Carlton Williams set the record for career starts with his 46th against West Virginia ... The senior from Valdosta was previously tied with Stephen Nicholas (2002-06) and Trae Williams (2002-06) with 45 starts.
- In the third quarter, RB Mike Ford crossed the 1,000-yard rushing mark on a 14-yard first-down run ... Ford entered the game with 956 career rushing yards ... He rushed for 62 total yards against the Mountaineers.
- Tyrone McKenzie entered the game with 94 tackles and finished the night with 11 more ... He became the third player in USF history to have 100 tackles in consecutive seasons ... He joins Kawika Mitchell (2001, 2002) and Ben Moffitt (2006, 2007) ... He also set a new USF record for total tackles over two seasons with 226.

- Matt Grothe, who came into the game with 2486 passing yards this season, racked up 189 yards against West Virginia to cross the 2500-yard mark for the third-straight season ... In 2006 he threw for 2,576 yards and had 2,670 last season.
- Matt Grothe also surpassed the 2000-yard rushing mark, collecting 64 yards against WVU, to total 2002 in his career.
- Jesse Hester entered the game with 979 career receiving yards, and surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in the third quarter with a 6-yard reception ... He collected 33 total receiving yards in the game.
- Jesse Hester continues to move up the career and single-season charts in receptions and receiving yards ... After collecting three receptions he is now tied for fifth on the all-time list with 91 career receptions ... He is also second on the season list with 53, trailing only Hugh Smith's 62 ... On the season receiving yards list, his 557 yards trails only Hugh Smith, who had 662 in 2002.
- In the fourth quarter, George Selvie recovered his fourth career fumble, his second of this season ... He also recovered a fumble at Cincinnati on Oct. 10 ... On a separate play, Selvie forced his eighth-career fumble, the first of this season.
- Against WVU, Tyrone McKenzie had 11 tackles, which makes his second consecutive game to have 10-or-more tackles and three TFL ... Against UConn he had 16 tackles and three TFL, and at WVU he had 11 tackles and 3.0 TFL.
- Kion Wilson had 11-or-more tackles in three of his last four games. He had 11 at WVU, 12 against UConn (11/23) and 11 at Cincinnati (10/30).
