WoMen's Tennis Extends Streak to Eight

TAMPA, Fla. ? The University of South Florida women's tennis team extended their winning streak to seven matches Sunday afternoon by defeating the University of South Carolina Upstate Spartans, 7-0, at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
The Bulls (15-5) haven't lost more then one match to their opponents during the eight-match win streak since they dropped a 6-1 match to then No. 24 Kentucky.
After taking the doubles point and going up 1-0 in the match, Iciri Rai wasted no time, blanking her opponent, Diana Martinez, 6-0, 6-0 with give the Bulls a 2-0 advantage.
After Liz Cruz put USF up 3-0 in the match, sophomore Ally Mueller clinched the victory at the No. 4 singles spot with her 7-5, 6-2 win over Daniela Lovera.
USF wasn't finished there as they took the last three matches to complete the 7-0 sweep.
The Bulls will return to action on Friday, April 4 at 2 p.m. when they take on No. 39 Florida International. In the last meeting, the Bulls took care of the Panthers, 4-3, to advance to the second round of the NCAA Championships.
