TAMPA -- USF Athletics added a brand-new and exciting affiliate to its 2008 football radio lineup with the addition of 1300 WQBN AM.  Super Q 1300 A.M. WQBN ? “La Cl?sica de la Bah?a” is a spanish-language station that broadcasts throughout the Tampa Bay area.

"We are expanding the reach of USF broadcasts in the local market and that makes this a very exciting addition," said USF Assistant AD for Communication Chris Freet. "WQBN has made the commitment to produce its own coverage of USF football games and our hope is that this deal will lead to more opportunities for all of USF's teams on WQBN."

The three-year deal with WQBN was announced by the USF/ISP Sports network early Saturday morning.  David Cuevas and Victor Rodriguez, who are the afternoon drive host and sports director, respectively, will carry the broadcast.

The new addition expands the USF radio affiliate to 11 radio outlets statewide (available to the right).  The flagship station for USF football broadcasts is 970 WFLA AM, which has served in that capacity for three seasons.

WQBN 1300 AM - "La super Q" is the oldest Spanish radio station in the Tampa Bay and has pleased every segment of the Hispanic community for more than 50 years. WQBN is 100 percent Hispanic owned and operated.  WQBN has a diverse audience, more than 50 percent of whom are 25 years of age and older.
