TAMPA -- USF junior quarterback Matt Grothe accounted for 400 yards of total offense and was the game's leading passer and rusher in the Bulls' 31-24 overtime win at Central Florida.

The standout effort earned him the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week award for the third time in his career.

Grothe completed 23 of 40 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns and had 54 rushing yards on 20 carries. Grothe threw a 25-yard touchdown pass in overtime to account for the winning points. It marked the third time that he has racked up 400 yards of total offense (passing and rushing) in a single game.

Grothe and Bulls host the No. 13/11 Kansas Jayhawks at Raymond James Stadium on Friday night at 7 Eastern. Bulls fans are encouraged to Go Green by wearing green attire to the marquee matchup.  The goal is to pack the stadium in green for the biggest non-conference game of 2008.
