Go Green CincinnatiMitchell on the Move
Junior wide receiver Carlton Mitchell is off to a scorching start to the 2009 season with 21 receptions for 377 yards and three touchdowns and is quickly moving up the USF career charts.

Can Mitchell break the USF career record for receiving yards in just his junior year?  It is certainly within reach.  He is 205  yards shy of breaking Hugh Smith's record of 1,523.  Where he has already set himself apart from Smith is in his average yards per reception.  Mitchell is averaging 15.3 yards per catch, while Smith tallied 11.6 during his time in Tampa.

At his current rate Mitchell needs another 13 receptions to surpass Smith.  Mitchell averaged 32.5 receptions his first two years at USF and already has 21 in 2009.
