
Bulls Win Opening Match With Seton Hall At The Match Play

TAMPA- The University of South Florida men's golf team wrapped up their fall season, by advancing to the second round of golf at The Match Play tournament after defeating Seton Hall in the opening round.
The Bulls beat the Pirates by picking up three points thanks to wins by Devin Hernandez, Rick Kittelstad and Raj Nahal. Hernandez won his match 2&1, and Nahal pulled through by a count of 3&1. Kittelstad was 2 UP in his match.
In their second round match up, the Bulls dropped the set to the host school DePaul by just a single point, 3.5-2.5. Nahal came through with a 3&2 victory and Robby Carl was 1 UP, while Kittlestad halved his match.
The Match Play was the final tournament of the fall season for the Bulls, and they will resume their tournament schedule Feb. 21 at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate.
