Saturday Is Military Appreciation Day at USF Football

TAMPA -- The USF Athletics Department will honor and support active and veteran Military members at the Satuday, Nov. 21 game against Louisville.

In support of the School Supplies for Aghan Children Drive, USF and personnel from MacDill Air Force Base will be collecting donations of school supplies at the North and South entrances to Raymond James Stadium.

Financial donations will also be accepted. Make checks payable to The Holland & Knight Charitable Foundation, Inc. and in the memo section or on a post-it note write:  Afghan School Supplies Fund. The SOCOM Parachute Jump Team will literally kick off festivities at Raymond James Stadium by sailing into the stadium moments before kickoff. USF will honor members of the military prior to the game.

Active and veteran military members can purchase lower bowl tickets for just $10 with a military ID. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the USF Box Office (Info) or on gameday at any ticket window. Tickets are also being sold on MacDill Air Force Base to soldiers stationed at the Tampa headquarters.

The general public will be able to get a first hand glimpse of military life through the Special Operations Adventure Semi, that will be parked on Tampa Bay Boulevard prior to the game.

Kickoff for the BIG EAST Conference game between Louisville and USF is set for Noon Eastern. Tickets are still available to the general public. Saturday is also Homecoming for the USF family.
