Plancher, Barrington Named to Weekly Honor Roll

TAMPA - Senior Mo Plancher and sophomore Sam Barrington have been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for their efforts in the Bulls 31-3 win against Florida Atlantic.

Plancher rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. The 93-yard output ranks as the second-best performance of his career behind a 115-yard day against WKU last season. On the year, Plancher is second on the team in rushing by just one yard with 231 yards, while leading the Bulls with four touchdowns.

Barrington, the Bulls leading tackler, had eight tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble to lead the Bulls defense from his middle linebacker position. He pushed his season totals to  23 total tackles.

The honor roll recognition is the second of Plancher's career and the first for Barrington. Plancher is the second Bulls running back to be recognized by the conference as Demetris Murray picked up similar honors last week following his 115-yard performance against Western Kentucky.

USF, now 3-1 on the season, begins the BIG EAST Conference portion of their schedule when they welcome Syracuse to Tampa for homecoming in the BIG EAST Game of the week scheduled for a noon kick. Stay tuned to GoUSFBulls.com for all the up to the minute info on USF football.
