Eveld, Brockhaus-Kann Pick Up BIG EAST Honors

TAMPA- Following their overtime win against Miami on Saturday, the USF football team has picked up a pair of BIG EAST Weekly awards including an Honor Roll honor for freshman Bobby Eveld.

Eveld, who entered the game at halftime due to an injury to starter B.J. Daniels, helped lead the Bulls to their first-ever win over in-state rival Miami, 23-20, in overtime.

The Bulls' true freshman quarterback completed 8-15 passes for 120 yards and helped lead the tying touchdown drive in the final two minutes of regulation, and marching the offense to a game-winning score in overtime.

USF punter Justin Brockhaus-Kann was named BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week for helping to shift field position in the Bulls' favor in the win over Miami. Brockhaus-Kann booted 10 punts on the day for an average of 41.0 yards per punt, including two of more than 50 yards.

Brockhaus-Kann pinned Miami inside their own 20 twice, and limited the Hurricane return game to just 28 total yards on seven returns.
