McClain Arrives at NFL Scouting Combine

Former Bulls DT Terrell McClain will represent the University of South Florida at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Ind. over the next four days. McClain arrived in Indianapolis and will go through a series of events before hitting the field on Monday, Feb. 28.

The scouting combine gives players the opportunity to meet and workout for all 32 NFL teams. McClain will be looking to build on strong performances at both the East-West Shrine Game and the Under Armour Senior Bowl.

Following the East-West Shrine Game, ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay said, 'I think McClain's been the most consistent. I think he's the one guy that's been able to dominate the competition.' Currently, McClain is listed as the ninth-best defensive tackle prospect by ESPN Scouts Inc.

As a part of McClain's combine experience, he'll go through registration, exams, orientation and interviews on Friday. Then, on Saturday, the defensive linemen will have measurements, exams, media and more team interviews. Sunday will consist of an NFLPA meeting, tests and even more interviews and Monday, they'll hit the field for timing, stations and skill drills before departing that night.

McClain played in 50 games over his four-year career at USF, starting 33. He finished with 89 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 17 TFL, 10 pressures, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. In 2010, McClain anchored a USF defense that finished the season ranked 17th nationally in total defense (317.9 ypg), 22nd in scoring defense (20.0 ppg) and 22nd in rushing defense (125.6 ypg). He posted 24 tackles, three sacks, 4.5 TFL and five pressures en route to first-team All-BIG EAST honors.
