TAMPA - Another lopsided victory has helped the Bulls keep climbing in the national football polls.

USF came in at No. 14 in Sunday's USA Today/Coaches Top 25 poll and now sits 16th in the Associated Press' rankings.

The Bulls (4-0) were 17th in the Coaches poll and 18th in the AP rankings when they beat UTEP, 52-24, Saturday night at Raymond James Stadium.

This marks USF's highest ranking since the week of Oct. 25, 2008 when the Bulls took on Louisville.

"We're really proud of the way this team went out and battled, the way they competed, the things that they're doing," USF head coach Skip Holtz said Saturday.

The Bulls take their new rankings into a Big East opener at Pittsburgh on Thursday night. The 8 p.m. game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
