About us
Our program consists of both a Coed and an All-Girl team that represent the University of South Florida. All members are full time students with an interest in supporting USF athletics thus they participate in community events such as local hospital visits, charity events and campus activities. Both Squads cheer on the sidelines at every home football game at Raymond James stadium as well as all home Basketball and select Volleyball games inside the USF Yuengling Center. Both Teams compete at the prestigious UCA College National Championship each January
Scheduling
The USF mascots, cheerleaders, and Sun Dolls will be cheering at most sporting events including football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, and softball and will be unable to fulfill other appearances during these times. Please understand that USF Bulls sporting events, tournaments, games, and other athletics department sponsored events take priority. The spirit squads are booked the entire day of home football games. Prior to the games, our teams attend The Stampede Walk as well as perform in the Bulls Bay, participate in fan giveaways at gates, and act as hosts in our Premium Seating areas.
All outside appearance requests are covered on a first come first serve basis. Some appearances will not be permitted to overlap. You will receive an email from one of the USF marketing staff two weeks prior to your event to confirm if we can fulfill your event. If we are able to come to your event, we will need to receive proof of payment at least 5 business days prior to the event.
Appearance Policies and Requirements
Due to our travel policy, we may not be able to accommodate appearances outside of the greater Tampa Bay area.
Time Restrictions
Rocky will require two 10 minute breaks per hour period. There are no discounts for shorter appearances. Free appearances will be restricted to one hour.
Changing Room Requirements
Spirit Teams and Rocky will need a secure place to change. This location will need to be somewhere they can leave their personal belongings during the appearance. While changing, they cannot be visible to the public. The changing space may not be a bathroom.
Parking Accommodations
Reasonable parking for the Spirit Squad members attending your event must be provided
Photos and Branding Policy
All photos taken of Spirit Squad members at events are for private and personal use only. No photos may be taken for promotional purposes or with business signage for the purpose of promoting the event or business in the future. All requests for promotional photos must be submitted to USF Marketing Athletics.
Cancellation Policy
IF YOU CANCEL – If you cancel your appearance request after submitting your information, we will do our best to accommodate. If you cancel within 48 hours of the event, you will not receive a refund of your payment. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, we will refund you at no cost.
IF WE CANCEL – In the rare case that we become unable to fulfill a request that has been confirmed, we will refund your appearance fee completely and notify you as soon as we are aware of the change. Please understand that USF Sporting Events, Tournaments, Games, and other USF sponsored events take priority.
Pricing
- Corporate events, weddings, and private events
- $400 per hour for four spirit members for two-hour max
- $300 per hour for Rocky for two-hour max
- University of South Florida Departments / Organizations and Non-profits organizations
- $150 per hour for four spirit members
- $150 per hour for Rocky
Appearance Request Process
SUBMIT REQUEST
Requests cannot be reviewed or accepted more than four months in advance from the date of the event. Requests and appearance details, including parking and changing information, must be made at least two weeks prior to the date of the event. The availability of sports schedules and student schedules may cause a delay in confirmation.
Request and Confirmation Process
1. Fill out the Spirit Squad Request form via the link HERE
2. Once complete, you will see a page notifying you that your request has been successfully submitted and is being reviewed.
3. Confirmation of your appearance request will usually be determined two weeks prior to your event. If your appearance can be covered, you will receive an appearance confirmation email with appearance details confirming your appearance will be covered. An invoice will be attached to the confirmation email.
4. Once you receive the confirmation email and the invoice, we will need to receive a proof of payment at least 5 business days prior to the event.
5. If your appearance cannot be covered, you will be notified via email. We regret that we are unable to fulfill every request. Please review the information above regarding scheduling and appearance requirements. If information is not properly provided in your initial request, you may receive an Appearance Update email requesting additional information about your event.
