TAMPA - It's a new week, but it's much of the same for the USF football team when it comes to being recognized by the Big East.
B.J. Daniels and Lindsey Lamar each made the Big East's weekly honor roll Monday after playing significant roles in the No. 14 Bulls' 52-24 victory over UTEP on Saturday. USF has had at least one player honored by the conference each week since the season began.
Daniels passed for 202 yards and two touchdowns against the Miners. He added another 130 yards on the ground, including a 71-yard run for the game's first score. The redshirt junior has rushed for 100-plus yards in a game six times in his USF career.
Lamar posted 215 all-purpose yards and had two touchdown catches in the Bulls' fourth straight victory this season. The junior had four catches for 85 yards and tacked on another 94 on kickoff returns.
"Any way I can help my team score points is great," Lamar said.
USF gets its first taste of Big East action Thursday night with an 8 p.m. test at Pittsburgh.
