Pierre-Paul, Williams Help Giants to Super Bowl

The New York Giants are headed back to the Super Bowl thanks in large part to two former USF Bulls, Jason Pierre-Paul and Jacquian Williams. Pierre-Paul, who earned All-Pro honors this season, came up big in the NFC Championship game against San Francisco. He was credited with six tackles, a half sack, a TFL, a pass defended and another QB hit.

Watch Jacquian Williams' forced fumble.

But, the story of the night in what was a defensive battle was the huge special-teams play made by Williams in overtime. After the Giants were forced to punt, Williams used his excellent speed to close on the returner, punching the ball free, giving the Giants a short field. Five plays later, the Giants kicked a 31-yard field goal to return to the Super Bowl. Williams finished the game with two tackles and the crucial forced fumble.

Pierre-Paul, Williams and the Giants will take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday, Feb. 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
