Bulls Go 1-1 in N.C. Trip This Weekend

The Bulls hit a roadblock in their path to a 2-0 weekend Sunday in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Lucie Rey was the lone winner for the USF women's tennis team in a 6-1 loss to Wake Forest two days after the Bulls beat NC State, 4-3, in Raleigh, N.C.
Rey defeated Karen Forman in a three-set, tiebreaker battle, 6-7 (4-7), 6-2, 1-0 (10-7). No. 26 Ecaterina Vasenina was the other USF player to push an opponent to three sets before losing to Kayla Duncan, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (11-9).
Paula Montoya took the first set, 6-1, from Wake Forest's Brigita Bercyte at the No. 6 singles positions, but couldn't hold on in 6-3, 6-4 losses in the next two sets.
The Bulls won't have to wait long to bounce back with their next match scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Central Florida in Orlando. The match marks the first of three straight tests against in-state rivals as USF plays at Florida State on Friday before hosting Florida Gulf Coast next Sunday.
