New Student Initiatives for Football Home Games
August 28, 2017 | Football, Student Zone
TAMPA, AUG. 28, 2017 – USF Athletics has announced new initiatives to make football game experiences much more convenient for students at Raymond James Stadium.
USFStudentTix.com is the new 100-percent mobile platform for students to claim their tickets, which will be scanned at Raymond James Stadium entrance gates. The mobile platform drastically cuts down on registration steps and also allows students to purchase additional single-game student tickets on their phones. To register, log onto USFStudentTix.com with your smartphone, entering your student email address, and present the barcode screen at entrance gates on game day.
USF Athletics also has reserved student organization tailgate spaces on the north side of the stadium in Lot 4P. The reserved area features 72 total parking spots near the Student Government tailgate for student organizations to reserve each game. Student organizations can request up to three spaces per game by using the new request form HERE.
All reserved area requests made by student organizations must be submitted by noon on the Monday of game week. A request by a student organization does not guarantee space and student organizations are responsible for bringing their own tents, food and other game day materials. Note: reserved student organization spaces are SOLD OUT for USF's home opener against Stony Brook on Saturday, Sept. 2.
USF Athletics also has made the game day experience much more comfortable for students inside the stadium. In an attempt to beat the heat, oscillating fans will be placed at the top of the student section through the first four home games to cool things down.
ABOUT USF FOOTBALL
USF finished the 2016 season ranked No. 19 in the Associated Press poll with a school-record 11 wins following the program's fifth-ever bowl victory in the Birmingham Bowl. The Bulls' 11-2 record marked the fifth-best winning percentage in FBS football in 2016 and one of just 11 teams to reach 11 wins. USF set nearly 40 team and individual records in 2016, including team records for total yards (6,650), rushing yards (3,714), touchdowns (77) and scoring (569). Junior quarterback Quinton Flowers was named the American Conference Offensive Player of the Year and led a school-record 10 players named to the all-conference team, six of which, including Flowers, will return in 2017.
