
Bulls Cap Season at NCAA South Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, FLA., OCT. 12, 2018 – The USF cross country team competed in its final race of the season Friday morning when the Bulls took part in the NCAA South Regionals at Apalachee Regional Park.
Freshman Alivia Bienz (Fort Pierce, Fla.) paced the women's team with a time of 23:57.0 in the 6k race, while sophomore Rania Samhouri (Tampa) placed second for the Bulls following her time of 24:09.6. Senior Brianna Rischar (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) closed her USF career by posting a time of 24:49.8 to take third for the Bulls.
Sophomore Evan Babatz (Fort Myers, Fla.) was the top finisher for the men in the 10k race with a time of 34:35.2. Freshman Danny Ferro (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) took second for USF after crossing the finish line with a time of 35:39.3, and sophomore Matt Neely was third for the Bulls after he posted a time of 36:22.1

Dena Reif is in her seventh season as the head coach of USF cross country. The history of USF's women's program consists of five conference and two region championships as well as five NCAA qualifying teams. The USF men's program has produced seven conference championships and three NCAA qualifying teams.
