NORMAN (Feb. 23, 2018) — The USF women's tennis team clinched the doubles point and earned a pair of singles wins in its 4-3 loss at Oklahoma on Friday.?
Juniors
Nicole Dzenga (Harare, Zimbabwe) and
Vanja Klaric (Serbia) clinched the doubles point in a tie breaker, 7-6(3), on court two.
Freshman
Evelyne Tiron (Romania) and junior
Ana Roman Dominguez (Spain) also defeated their opponents, 6-3.
?Klaric went to a third set on court five and outlasted Camila Romero, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5, after the match was clinched by the Sooners. ? ?
Senior
Juliana Cardoso (Descalvado, Brazil) won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, at the four spot to put USF on the board.
No. 26 Lily Miyazaki defeated junior
Ana Roman Dominguez (Spain) on court one, 6-2, 6-4. Freshman
Evelyne Tiron (Romania) went to a third set against her opponent, but ultimately fell, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3.
