
Bulls Qualify for Nationals, Finish Second at SAISA Championships

TAMPA, APRIL 23, 2018 – The University of South Florida sailing finished second at the SAISA Women's Spring Championships in Charleston, S.C., and qualified for the ICSA Nationals Semifinals held May 23-24.
The Bulls finished just seven points behind first place College of Charleston and 35 points ahead of the third place team, Jacksonville University. Eckerd College finished in fourth, as the top-four advanced to nationals.

- The A division featured senior Sarah Streater (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) as the skipper with a crew of freshman Katie Bornarth (Jensen Beach, Fla.) and sophomore Delaney Brown (West Palm, Fla.). The trio finished in second, 18 points ahead of the third-place team in the division.
- In the B division, freshman Marina Barzaghi (Saunderstown, R.I.) was the skipper with a crew of sophomore Delaney Brown (West Palm, Fla.), junior Rachel Yannelli (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) and junior Darby Capellin (Bradenton, Fla.). The four finished first overall, two points ahead of the College of Charleston's B division.
