STORY: LEARN MORE ABOUT MICHAEL RADOMSKI'S LEGACY

TAMPA, MAY 30, 2018
 – USF Athletics is pleased to announce the creation of the Michael J. Radomski Memorial Scholarship fund, established through the USF Bulls Club to honor the memory of the beloved member of the USF family who passed away tragically in a car accident last October.

The memorial scholarship honors the memory of assistant communications director Mike Radomski, who infused USF Athletics with passion, energy, dedication and kindness during his tenure. Radomski was just 29 years old when he passed away due to a car accident in the early morning hours of Oct. 12, 2017 while heading home after working late to finish his men's basketball media guide.

25992"Mike was such a positive and impactful young man who had incredible passion for USF and for serving our student-athletes," USF Director of Athletics Mark Harlan said. "We felt it was very appropriate to honor his memory with a scholarship that will provide aid to students learning and working in USF Athletics, and serve to recognize and foster in those students the many outstanding traits Mike was so loved for."

Donations are being accepted to the fund in order to create an endowed scholarship that may be awarded on an annual basis through USF Athletics. Donations may be made HERE

Recipients of the scholarship will be selected from among USF students learning and working in the external departments of USF Athletics (communications, marketing, development, digital media, video, broadcasting, and ticket operations). Recipients will be selected based on their contributions as well as emulating the attributes displayed by Radomski, including passion, dedication and kindness.

Radomski was honored in the spring at the annual Stampede of Champions awards event conducted by USF student-athletes at the Sun Dome. He was the first non-student-athlete to be honored with the Sportsmanship Award. Radomski's parents, Alicia and John, and widow, Christina, were on hand to accept the award in his honor and were greeted with a standing ovation by those in attendance.
