TAMPA, AUG. 23, 2018 – USF women's soccer returns to Corbett on Friday night at 7 p.m. with its "Blackout for Baylor" match where the Bulls will compete in black uniforms for the first time.
USF
RV is coming off the opening week of the season where it went 1-1. The Bulls opened play at home with a 2-1 win over Towson in overtime. Sophomore
Fanny Pelletier-Laroche (Quebec, Canada) delivered USF's win in the first overtime period when she scored with a header off a corner from junior
Andrea Hauksdottir (Kopavogur, Iceland).
The Bulls' first road match was tough as they took on Auburn on the road. The undefeated Tigers took a 2-0 lead early, but redshirt-junior
Kelli Burney (Bealeton, Va.) wouldn't go down without a fight. She got USF on the board in the 89
th minute with a header off a corner, again from Hauksdottir.
For the first time in program history, fans will have a chance to see USF in black uniforms. The Bulls will take the pitch in their new black uniforms and encourage fans to wear black to the match to "Blackout for Baylor." The first 500 fans at the stadium will receive a free blackout USF T-shirt. The "Melt Machine," a local Tampa Bay Food Truck, will also be at Corbett Stadium for fans.

The Bears lost their leading goal-scorer from last season Aline De Lima, but retain Lauren Piercy who scored five goals and five assists in 2017. For the Baylor defense, senior Sarah King returns and has already played all 180 minutes this season.
