TAMPA, JAN. 31, 2019 – The USF Athletic Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations and will induct its sixth class in the fall of 2019, USF Vice President for Athletics
Michael Kelly announced.
The USF Athletic Hall of Fame, which inducted its first class in 2009, currently has 22 individuals and one team among its honored members of outstanding contributors to Bulls athletics. The 2019 Class will be the first to be inducted to the Hall of Fame since 2013.
"The Hall of Fame is such a great way to honor the achievements and people that have made USF Athletics so special, and we feel strongly that the time is right to again honor that tradition with a new class of Hall of Fame inductees," Kelly said. "We look forward to engaging those who love USF Athletics for their nominations and honoring another class of the finest to wear the green and gold next fall."
Nominations from the public for the Hall of Fame Class of 2019 are being accepted now through Feb. 28, 2019. Nominations may be submitted

Nominations are being taken for former student-athletes, head coaches and administrators. Eligible inductees must be at least four years removed from their career at USF and will be selected by a nine-member committee based on a strong emphasis on their achievements at USF, with consideration given to further professional accomplishments.
The 2019 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will coincide with a home football game weekend, with further details to be announced at a later date.
The first USF Athletic Hall of Fame class was inducted in 2009 and honored longtime Director of Athletics Dick Bowers (1966-82), men's basketball standout leader Charlie Bradley (1982-85), women's basketball standout Wanda Guyton (1984-89), two-time NCAA rifle champion Michelle Scarborough (1989-90) and the 1984-85 women's swimming team, which claimed USF's first team national title with the 1985 NCAA Division II national championship.

About USF Athletics
USF Athletics sponsors 19 varsity men's and women's teams that compete in 11 different sports, 18 at the NCAA Division I level in the American Athletic Conference. The Bulls' athletic program began in 1965 and is in its 53rd season in 2018-19. Nearly 500 student-athletes train and compete in the athletic district located on the east end of the campus in Tampa, Fla. The Bulls have claimed 16 American Athletic Conference team titles since joining the conference in 2013, including at least three in each of the last three seasons, and own 113 conference championships overall. Nine USF programs reached national post-season competition in the 2017-18 season and six were ranked in the Top 25 nationally. The Bulls posted a combined annual grade-point average over 3.0 for the third straight year in 2017-18 and have posted a program record eight straight semesters with a combined GPA over 3.0. USF has seen more than 200 student-athletes earn their degree in the last two years.
