TALLAHASSEE, Fla., NOV. 15, 2019 – The USF cross country team ended its 2019 season Friday at the NCAA South Regional with a 22nd-place finish at the Apalachee Regional Park.
Freshman Natalie Walsh (Naperville, Ill.) paced the women's team with a 73rd-place finish and a time of 21:47.3, while freshman Alexandra Weir (Toronto) was second on the team and 134th overall with a time of 22:52.8.
QUOTABLE
"This competition provided another step in moving this program forward. We were able to compete against some of the best teams in the south. We have to continue to get better as a team and bring in young people that compete at an elite level. The future is bright for the program." — USF distance coach Damon Griffiths.
