No. 47 USF Falls to Houston for First Conference Loss on the Season
HOUSTON, APRIL 7, 2019 – The No. 47-ranked USF women's tennis team fell to Houston, 4-2, Sunday at the Barbara Wallace Winston Tennis Facility in Houston as the Bulls dropped their first conference match of the season.
Due to inclement weather in the area, the Bulls (11-9, 4-1 AAC) and Cougars (14-5, 3-0 AAC) didn't play the doubles point and began the contest with singles matches.

Nicole Dzenga (Harare, Zimbabwe). The Bulls answered quickly as freshman
Laura Pellicer Perello (Gandia, Valencia, Spain) won her match, 6-4, 6-3, on court three to even the score at 1-1.
The Cougars again jumped in front, winning on court six with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over sophomore
Alexandria Mjos (Austin, Texas). USF freshman
Amelie Boy (Trianon, Mauritis) again tied things up, winning her match on court four, 6-4, 6-4.
With the team score tied at 2-2, Houston rallied on courts one and two to claim victories and take the match, 4-2. No. 48-ranked
Ana Roman Dominguez (Burgos, Spain) fell, 6-4, 6-4, on court one to fall to 13-4 on the year, while
Vanja Klaric (Gaborone, Botswana) dropped a tough decision, 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(5), on court two.
