Both teams had opportunities in the game. In the 10th minute, Nasello struck the crossbar with a shot. Less than three minutes later, Florida took its first shot on goal, but Martinez made the save.

Still tied at the half, both teams were looking to open the scoring in the second. The Gators challenged first, but Martinez made the save. USF went up a player in the 74th minute when UF's Cameron Hall received her second yellow card of the game and was sent off. Ultimately, the defenses held strong and the game ended in a 0-0 tie after two overtime periods.

Credit to a well-coached Gator team. I have tremendous respect for everything that Becky has done for UF's women's soccer program."
