TAMPA, FLA., March 2, 2021 – The University of South Florida women's tennis team is back on the courts this week to face University of Toledo, Wednesday at noon on the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.

Due to virus mitigation measures and the size of the venue, USF will not allow fans inside the USF Varsity Tennis Courts complex.

South Florida is coming off of a 4-3 victory against UNF, which extended its win streak to three games. Freshman
Grace Schumacher (Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia) picked up her fifth singles win of the season and had the deciding point to give the Bulls the win versus North Florida. Sophomore
Margriet Timmermans (Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands) improved to 4-0 in singles, adding a win on court six against UNF, along with senior Alex Mjos (Austin, Texas) putting on another strong singles performance, delivering a 6-1, 6-2 win on court five.

"I am really enjoying competing with this team and they seem to be thriving more as the season goes on," head coach
Cristina Moros said. "We know we have to bring the same competitive mentality each match and looking forward to another opportunity to bring that toughness that we need on Wednesday." Â

Scouting Toledo
Toledo is currently 3-2, coming off wins against University of Illinois Chicago, 4-3, and Valparaiso, 7-0, last weekend. The Rockets are led by freshman Cassie Alcala, who holds a 4-1 singles record and 3-1 doubles record.

Wednesday will be the first time in history that the Bulls and Rockets have faced off.
