The Bulls (1-0) gave up just one game in the two matches to FAMU (1-1) leading to the doubles point to start the afternoon. South Florida's tandems of Amelie Boy/Sierra Berry and Grace Schumacher/Margriet Timmermans got the Bulls off to a fast start, winning their doubles matches, 6-1 and 6-0. Alexandria Mjos/Kiana Mokhtari were up 5-1 before the Green and Gold got the point.

In singles, South Florida had only one match go to three sets on the afternoon. Schumacher, who was named All-American Athletic Conference in 2021, got her spring season off to a good start, winning on court one, 6-0, 6-2, while Berry, a true freshman, won her first collegiate dual match, 6-2, 6-2.

On court three, Laura Pellicer, battled back from a set down to win, 2-6, 7-6 (6), 12-10.

Boy (6-0, 6-1) on court four, Timmermans (6-1, 6-0) on court five, and Mjos (6-3, 6-1) on court six all had straightforward matches to earn their first wins of the season.
