South Florida Looks for Its Second-Straight Win on Sunday Against FGCU

TAMPA (March 25, 2022) – The University of South Florida women's tennis team continues its homestand with a Sunday matchup against in-state foe Florida Gulf Coast at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
 
The Bulls are looking to start a winning streak after taking down previously unbeaten Stetson, 4-3, on Feb. 23.
 
Sierra Berry, who is 5-3 on the year at both the No. 2 (4-1) and No. 1 positions (1-2), had played two of her three matches on court one in the last two outings, getting her first win at No. 1 in the last match against Stetson, 6-2, 6-2. Berry has won three of her last four matches combined on both courts.
 
Grace Schumacher has logged three wins on the year – including a 2-1 mark on court two – and looks for her third consecutive victory
 
On the doubles side, the Bulls' No. 1 team of Berry and Amelie Boy has been dominating all season. The duo is 5-1 on the season, all coming on court one. 

Scouting Florida Gulf Coast
The Eagles (5-3) enter their match on a two-game win streak and are winners of three of their last four matches following wins over Florida A&M (5-2) on Feb. 11 and South Alabama (4-1) on Feb. 10.

Florida Gulf Coast's singles play has been led by Jordana Ossa who is 10-4 on the year, including 4-1 on court five, and Lola Glantz who is 8-4 on the year, while boasting a 5-2 mark on court six.
