South Florida Closes Out Eight-Match Homestand on Wednesday Against VCU

TAMPA (March 8, 2022) – The University of South Florida women's tennis team returns to the USF Varsity Tennis Courts on Wednesday to close out its season-long eight-match homestand when it welcomes No. 50 VCU. First serve is slated for 11 a.m.
 
The Bulls are looking for their third win in the last four matches.
 
The Bulls had its short two-match winning streak snapped on March 5 in a tough 4-3 setback to No. 68 South Alabama.
 
Sierra Berry will look to continue her impressive rookie campaign against the Rams. Berry is currently 6-4 on the year and is 4-2 on court two this season.
 
Grace Schumacher has come on strong of late winning her last three matches that have finished, to improve to 4-5 overall, including 2-1 on court two.
 
On the doubles side, Berry and teammate Amelie Boy continue to roll along, boasting a 5-1 record, with all of their matches coming on court one.
 
Schumacher and Margriet Timmermans are 4-4 on the year on court two, while the newly paired-together tandem of Laura Pellicer and Selin Yaylali are 2-0 on court three.

South Florida will travel to the "Big Easy" for back-to-back matches against Middle Tennessee on Friday before closing out the weekend on Saturday at Tulane. First serve on both days is slated for noon.
