Â
Corrick was named the NFCA Division I Pitcher of the Year and pushed her career to new heights in 2022. A top-three finalist for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year and a First-Team NFCA All-American, Corrick finished the 2022 season with a 37-5 record, a 0.51 ERA and 418 strikeouts, leading the NCAA Division I in all three categories.
Â
The first pitcher to be named the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year in each of her four seasons of eligibility, she threw two perfect games and a no-hitter during the 2022 campaign, bringing her career total to eight solo no-hitters and nine total. Corrick led the country in ERA, innings pitched, shutouts, strikeout-to-walk ratio, strikeouts and wins. She also earned herself a place in the NCAA record book by tossing the seventh-longest streak of scoreless innings in NCAA Division I history. She completed her collegiate career having broken at least 40 different USF or American Athletic Conference records, boasting 113 wins, 55 shutouts and 1,302 strikeouts.
Â
Academically, Corrick is a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American, earning third-team honors in 2020-21, first-team honors in 2019-20 and was named Academic Team Member of the Year in 2021-22.
Â
Beckford earned two USTFCCCA All-American honors during the 2021-22 academic year, becoming a force in the high jump in his first year with the Bulls. Winning the event at eight different meets between the indoor and outdoor seasons, he also swept the indoor and outdoor American Athletic Conference high jump individual titles. At the AAC Indoor Championships, Beckford broke the USF indoor high jump record, setting a new mark of 2.20 meters (7-2.50) to win the event.
Â
Beckford advanced to the NCAA National Championships in both the indoor and outdoor seasons, finishing in 15th and 13th, respectively. He also finished fifth at the NCAA East Preliminary Track and Field Championships during the outdoor season, and won the high jump with a personal-best mark of 2.23 meters (7-3.75) at the prestigious Penn Relays, a mark that currently stands second all-time in outdoor competition at USF.
