The incoming freshman are part of the 2024-25 class.
TAMPA, FLA., November 9, 2023 – The University of South Florida men's golf team has announced the signings of Matthew Joseph and William Jun for the 2024-25 freshman class.
"We're very excited about having William and Matthew officially become Bulls today," said associate head coach Brad Caldwell. "I think the exciting thing about both of them is they are both just scratching the surface of their potential and they both have huge ceilings on their games. William has size and speed that you just can't teach, his ball speed cruises around the 175-180 range. Matthew is built like a college player already and has some of the best fundamentals we have ever seen. Their best golf is yet to come, and we can't wait for them join us here in Tampa."
Matthew Joseph (Bradenton, Fla.) comes in with three Top Five finishes and six Top 10 finishes on the Florida Junior Tour (FJT) and IMG Junior Golf Tour. Joseph posted a fourth-place finish at the 2022 FSGA Boys State Junior Championship. From 2021-23 Joseph recorded 10 Top 10 finishes in Junior Tour Events.
William Jun (Jupiter, Fla.), the 2022 FSHAA State Champion, has carded five Top Five finishes and six Top 10 finishes on the Florida Junior Tour (FJT) in 2023. Jun was a member of the FSGA Florida Cup – Team South. He has one win on the Florida Junior Tour, the 2022 Duran Open. On the FJT between 2021-23, Jun has 14 Top 10 finishes with a scoring average of 73.1.
