TAMPA (February 9, 2023) – The University of South Florida women's tennis team opens up its five-game road trip with back-to-back matches this weekend, beginning at Florida Atlantic on Saturday and closing the weekend at Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday.
Â
The Bulls are coming off a dominant 7-0 victory against FAMU last Friday and will aim to carry that momentum with them on their longest road stretch of the season.
Â
Sierra Berry looks to continue the stellar start to her season and to improve on her 2-0 singles record and 1-1 record in doubles. Berry won her two singles matches of the season 6-3, 6-2, and 6-3, 6-1. Her doubles victory came last week against FAMU in a convincing 6-1 win with partner Ireland Simme.
Â
The Owls, 3-5 on the year, have dropped five of their last six matches after starting the season 2-0. The Eagles are 3-2 overall and face FAU on Friday in Fort Myers. FGCU has dropped two of its last three matches.
Â
Following this weekend, USF will head to the Lone Star State to take on SMU (Feb. 17) and North Texas (Feb. 19).
