Tampa, Fla. (March 14, 2023) – USF Women's Tennis put on an impressive performance Tuesday afternoon, defeating Cincinnati 7-0.

In doubles, the Bulls handled business with relative ease. On court one, Sierra Berry and Grace Schumacher put on a nearly perfect performance, defeating Callie Flanagan and Cassie McLay 6-0.

On court three, Laura Pellicer and Ireland Simme took down the Bearcats' duo of Sofia Bruno and Elizabeth Pendergast 6-1 to secure the doubles point.

In singles, it was much of the same for South Florida. Pellicer gave the Bulls a quick point with her 6-1, 6-2 win on court three.

Cliona Walsh followed on court five, defeating Cincinnati's Callie Flanagan 6-2, 6-0 to put South Florida one point away from the match victory.

With the Bulls up 3-0, Schumacher had a chance to secure the win for South Florida on court two. After a hard-fought win in the first set, she came up big in the second, defeating the Bearcats Cassie McLay 6-4, 6-3 to give the Bulls their eighth win of the season.

Despite the Bulls already securing the victory, South Florida wasn't done just yet.

After the result was decided, Simme, Berry, and Sabrina Ibarra, who was a late addition to the lineup, each secured another point for the Bulls.

Simme won 6-4, 6-4 on court four, Berry won 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 on court one, and Ibarra came back from a first-set loss to win 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 on court six. This brought USF's point total to seven on the day and gave them the clean sweep against the Bearcats.
