Bulls fall short on final court at Tulane

USF suffered a tough 4-3 setback on Sunday to close road trip.

TAMPA (February 18, 2024) – The University of South Florida (4-5) and Tulane (5-3) battled until the final court on Sunday afternoon before the home Green Wave bested the Bulls, 4-3. The match concluded a two-match road trip for the Bulls who will now return home to begin an eight-match homestand.

South Florida found itself trailing again after the doubles point on Sunday, but once again fought to the finish in singles competition.

Nadja Bay Christians, Melisa Senli and Gargi Pawar each tallied straight-set wins on their respective courts. The match was ultimately decided on Court 4 where Marta Falceto Font went the distance with her opponent before falling by scores of 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

Up Next
The Bulls return to Tampa for their next eight matches which will also be their final eight home matches of the season. That stretch begins on Sunday, February 25 against Auburn at 12 p.m.
